MVISD BUS/TRAFFIC FLOW 2024-2025

Parents,

Welcome back to t he 2024-2025 school year. I trust that you and your child/children have had a great
summer and are ready to start another year in their education journey. Our teachers and staff are
prepared and ready to fulfill our mission here at MVISD of "engaging and challenging every student to
reach their fullest potential every day." We are excited to partner with you in making sure that this will
be a very successful school year and our students make tremendous strides in and out of the classroom.
As you know, as a district we are also in the midst of construction with our bond projects. The projects
involving the athletic facilities are still ongoing with the stands and the press box on schedule to be
finished before the fi rst home game on August 30". The work is also beginning on the academic
build ings. The renovation of the auditorium has begun as well as getting things ready for the new office
complex and entrance for the middle school. The construction of our new welding lab has also started
and should be finished by the end of this year. Once that is completed, the demolition of the high school
library and current Ag. facility will take place to allow for the work to begin for the new fine arts building
and new high school cafeteria. This construction project will be ongoing and take approximately 30
months to complete.

With all the construction projects that are taking place, it will require us to alter our parking and our
traffic flow. I ask that you please exercise patience, u nderstanding, and grace as we navigate this t ime
and work to maintain the safety of our staff and students. The attached map shows the changes that are
taking place. All areas that are in orange are construction areas and are not open to traffic or parking.
Please remain out of these areas and do not move any traffic barriers or cones closing off these areas.
All parent pickup and drop off for middle and high school students will take place in the yellow shaded
area In front of the middle/high school campuses. Please note the arrows and t raffic flow patterns.
These parking lots will also be where our middle/higih school st aff will be parking and therefore we will
have limited parking for parents who want to arrive early and park to wait on their student to be
dismissed. Our busses will drop off and pick up students on the back side of the campus (marked in
purple) behind the middle school cafeteria and beside the back gymnasium. Parent and student traffic is
restricted in this area.

As the construction project moves from one area to another, these traffic flow patterns could have to be
altered. We will communicate any future changes on our social media page, our website, and through
our ParentSquare notification system. Again, please give yourself plenty of t ime as traffic could be
congested during peak arrival and dismissal times.

Go Tigers,
